Split Testing and Rotating Offers ... 7

Since I made the “PPV Landing Page Rotation” post a few days ago, quite a few people had asked me how to go about doing offer rotation as well.
As usual, there’s more than one way to skin a cat. I’m going to show you the “right” way to do this. By doing it right, we are going to preserve all of Tracking202’s trackyness. However, doing shit right always takes more time. So I would be remiss to not point out a slick way to ...
Split Testing and Landing Page ... 11

Split testing kicks ass. Rotating landing pages to find which one converts best is the ticket to making you more money. Don’t be lazy, it’s not that hard!
If you’re experienced, I’ll cut to the chase. Here is my ppv landing page rotation script download link. This script supports all major CPV networks, and allows even rotation via counter file or psuedo-rotation via random number. Read the comments in the file, you’ll figure ...
LeadImpact Doesn’t Allow ... 0

We all know split testing landing pages and offers is important, but not all advertising networks are OK with it.
I recently put up the same campaign across 3 CPV networks: DirectCPV, MediaTraffic, and LeadImpact. All of these pointed to a landing page rotation script. The script would rotate between all 8 landers I made. DirectCPV and MediaTraffic approved the destination URL but LeadImpact did not. I got the following ...
Gauher does 7search 0

Guru guy Gauher Chaudhry posted a pretty cool video the other day about 7search.com
You've probably already heard of 7Search, but in case you haven't, it's a 2nd tier PPC search engine that usually get's a bad rap. It is generally considered crap traffic and full of click fraud. I tried using 7search a few times myself. A long time ago, I tried some 7search -> MFA site arbitrage which never made any decent coin. Last year, I ...
Sheeple influencing Sheeple 0

There is an interesting article in the January 2010 Wired called "How Group Think Rules What We Like". The premise: "Can you persuade someone to like a product by telling them that it’s popular? Do teenagers like Taylor Swift because she’s good or because everyone else they know likes her — so hey, she must be good, right?"
A guy named Duncan Watts wanted to test this. His problem, however, was how to replay history. The example ...
NickyCakes: Selling Shovels to ... 2

It's been written many times that the people who really get rich during a gold rush are the ones selling the picks and shovels.
Lots of affiliate bloggers market to affiliates in one way or another. Justin Dupre has his Affiliate Store, ShoeMoney has ShoeMoney tools, Amish Shah has the recently launched "Magic Bullet System", and those are just off the top of my head.
Enter "LP Lockdown". Cakes announced this yesterday and it looks pretty ...
2 Ways to Cloak Affiliate Links 3
Posted by admin on Jan 26, 2010
In the world of affiliate marketing, the word "cloak" gets thrown around a lot and means different things to different people. So let's be clear:
Link Cloaking
Definition: Using on page techniques to obfuscate the destination URL of a link when the user hovers over it.
Purpose: To hide ugly, complex, or affiliate code laden URLs from the user. The idea is this: when the user hovers over a link, he will see the destination URL in the ...
Devastating Storms Hit Southern ... 0

My friend sent me the following email today. While it isn't affiliate marketing related, it does really hit home for me and my fellow San Diegans.
With all the news lately about the subzero weather and snow that
the midwest and east coast areas are experiencing, we shouldn't
forget that Southern California has its share of devastating weather
also.
Attached is a photo illustrating the excessive damage caused to a home
from a west coast ...
Poor Man’s Fake User Review ... 2

Fake review sites have been popular for quite a long time now. The whole idea is to build trust on your landing page by showing how other people have rated a product.
Even with the recent news about the FTC cracking down on flogs and fake review sites, people are still doing this stuff. Case in point, Nicky Cake's Build Solid Automated Product Sites With Wordpress post of a couple weeks ago. I guess people just figure this will be ...
How To Use Wordpress as a Landing ... 5

Anyone following affiliate marketing knows that the days of using a quick & dirty landing page with the big PPC engines is long gone. For better or worse, Google's stupid "Quality Score" fired the first shot and other PPC engines followed. QS has forced affiliates to throw up "mini sites" to boost quality score and get cheaper clicks.
It is also no secret that Google loves Wordpress. Black hatters, SEO's and Affiliate Marketers have ...
